Skiing in the Dolomites
Ski mountaineering is a discipline practised off-piste and, as the name suggests, combines the techniques of skiing with those of winter mountaineering. The goal is to ascend a mountain using skis and specialised equipment, and then descend by skiing on fresh snow.
“In the mountains, every descent is the result of an ascent, and every success is built on determination.”
– Lhotse Dorje
This sporting activity is a true adventure as it offers the opportunity to explore new terrains and enjoy the purity of untouched snow that creates beautiful snowy landscapes. From the undisputed queen, the Marmolada, to skiing at the foot of the Civetta: the vast area of the Dolomites boasts a wide range of unspoiled environments, far from the chaos and crowds, where you can experience the thrill of direct contact with the wild nature. Reaching the refuges at the summit is part of the experience, where a rejuvenating pause precedes the thrill of the descent down the pristine slopes.
